Summary



User is getting an error 'Rule does not exist for use by this record' even when the rule exists.
Custom non-autogenerated control is used in Section. System throws error while rendering the section.

Steps to Reproduce



1. Set up PRPC 6.1 SP2 system with DB2 Database.
2.  Implement custom non-auto generated control.
3.  Use control in section.
4.  Move the DB2 to Data to Oracle.
5. Perform revalidate and save for all UI rules.
6. Observe that system throws error for sections where custom control is used. 

 

Root Cause



A defect or configuration issue in the Database data: After Database move custom while opening a section generated code appends space to the custom control name.

System is unable to find the control with name appended with space and throws rule not found error


Resolution



Perform the following local-change step:

Remove and add control again in the section.
