SAML SSO Errors with IDP initiated request

Summary



User is trying to integrate Octa (SAML integration) with PRPC for an internal and requires assistance with debugging the PRPC errors.

Error Messages

Error while executing the Assertion Consumer Service activity : 1


Steps to Reproduce



Use a IDP initiated request.


Root Cause



When using a IDP initiated requests, the RelayState parameter has to be sent  with a properly formatted URL.

Following is the example:


https://SMHost.com/saml2sso?SPID=https://prprhost/prweb/sp/1429094923&RelayState=https%3A%2f%2fprpchost%2fprweb%2fsso1
 
 

Resolution

When defining application links on a home portal using SAML, a properly formatted RelayState parameter is required.
