Saving a ruleset throws 'an operator does not exist' error

Summary



The error: "pyComponentInterfaceClass: "OperatorID" doesn't exist or is not a valid entry or this ruleset and its prerequisites" occurs when attempting to save a ruleset in Pega 7.1.7.


Error Messages



pyComponentInterfaceClass:OperatorIDXXXXX doesn't exist or is not a valid entry for this ruleset and its prerequisites


Steps to Reproduce

Save a ruleset version in chrome browser.


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code. The issue is specific to chrome browser.



Resolution



Perform the following local change:

Open URL in 'incognito mode' in chrome.
or
Use an alternative browser.

It is scheduled to be fixed in the Pega 7.1.10 release.
