Screen freezes in IE when adding row in modal window

Summary



Modal window fails to add a new record in the Internet Explorer browser and the screen freezes for 10-15 minutes before responding. This occurs post Pega 7.3.1 upgrade.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Upgrade PRPC 6 platform to Pega Platform 7.3.1.
  2. Create a modal window.
  3. Include drop downs and a few input fields in the modal window.


Root Cause



An issue in the custom application code or rules.
The modal window section had deprecated controls. That is, the Dynamic Select is not supported in Pega Platform 7.3.1.


Resolution



Perform the following local-change:
  1. Remove the deprecated controls.
  2. Reconfigure the drop down fields.
