Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Update Pega 8.1 to Pega 8.2.1
  2. Enter a rule name in the Search field. No matching search results found message displays

Root Cause

The size of the Search index files which generate is lesser than the minimum size required (~1 MB). New objects or rules created post upgrade are indexed. The access group of the pyBatchIndexProcessor requestor encountered the issue. It must have the privileges of the PRPC:AsyncProcessor access group to cause the out-of-the-box Queue processors to run.

Resolution

Perform the following local-change:
Add the privileges of the PRPC:AsyncProcessor access group to the access group which is used by the pyBatchIndexProcessor requestor to run.
