Search index directory location issue

SA-23346

Summary

User has two nodes in their cluster and enabled Search indexes for both node. But search index directory is configured to same mount location.
User wants a confirmation if this is the correct configuration or not.

Error Messages

Not Applicable.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Upgrade from PRPC 6.3 to Pega 7.1.8.
2. Create two nodes, one for application and second one for agents. User has application node only.
3. Configure search index agents in agent node and reindex all work, rules and data.

Root Cause

Not Applicable.

Resolution

Elastic search is introduced in Pega 7.1.8 and it is recommended to have search index configured in more than one node to ensure that search will function even when primary search index node is down.

User has configured two nodes but Index directory is same location for both nodes.
User is suggested to either to have Search index on one node only, and if required to place it on two nodes than search index directory should be different for both nodes.
