'ServiceType' for data page 'D_ServiceMethods' cannot be blank

Summary
When using Pega 7.2, the Clipboard displays an error message when navigating to the Action tab and clicking the Refresh button. Additionally, a warning message is generated in the logs on calling a service from any SOAP client.
Error Messages
Clipboard Error:
Unable to load data page D_ServiceMethods. Required parameters : ServiceType. cannot be blank
Warning in Log:
Required parameter 'ServiceType' for data page 'D_ServiceMethods' cannot be blank.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a SOAP Service.
- Navigate to the Actions tab and click the Refresh button.
- Open the Clipboard and select the thread for the Service package.
- Navigate to Data pages > Thread > D_ServiceMethods on Clipboard. Two instances exist for D_ServiceMethods, of which the first instance on the Clipboard displays the error on the screen. Verify the warning generated in the logs.
Root Cause
A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.
Resolution
Apply HFix-39483.
