Silverlight does not support Microsoft Word 2013

Summary
Word merge feature works when using Microsoft Word 2010, but not when using Microsoft Word 2013.
Error Messages
SilverLight Control ERROR in 'sGetWordMacroDotPath'. Microsoft Word version '15.0' is not supported
Steps to Reproduce
1. Call Pega section pzWordMergeSL from the local section.
2. Launch pzSilverLightWordMergeControl.
Root Cause
Integration with Word 2013 is not supported until Pega 7.1.7.
This is mentioned on page 16 of the Platform Support Guide (https://pdn.pega.com/documents/platform-support-guide).
Resolution
Upgrade to the latest version of Pega 7.1.
