Error Messages

SilverLight Control ERROR in 'LaunchWordMerge': Aborting Word Merge launch. Silverlight control has NO elevated security privileges on the client workstation

Steps to Reproduce

Attempt a Word merge.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ installer of the Silverlight pre-requisites provided in pzSLpreReqs.cab instance of the Rule-File-Binary class.

The installer does not set AllowLaunchOfElevatedTrustApps registry key value to 1 as required by Microsoft.

Resolution

This issue will be fixed in the future Pega 7.2.2 release.

Note: To unblock the issue, a workstation administrator can manually set the AllowLaunchOfElevatedTrustApps registry key value to 1, using the regedit.exe tool.
