SMA Rule Assembly Cache Management issue with "type of assembly"

SA-13208

Summary

"System is not configured for this type of assembly" message comes up in System Management Application (SMA).

Error Messages

System is not configured for this type of assembly

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open SMA for a Pega 7.1.7 environment.
2. From Advanced tab, choose "Rule Assembly Cache Management"

Root Cause

Assembly caching mode is set using prconfig or dynamic system setting "fua/assemblyCacheMode" , "prconfig/fua/assemblycachemode" respectively whose values can be "AC" ,"mixed","RA".

So the Rule Assembly Cache Management from SMA is used when the above setting is set to "RA".
The messge "system is not configured for this type of assembly" is seen in SMA  because the default value for the setting is "AC".

Resolution

Use "Application based assembly cache management" to clear the cache from memory to resolve the issue.
