SMA - Rule Assembly Cache Management not available

SA-9407

Summary

After upgrading from PRPC 6.2sp1 to Pega 7.1.7, in SMA when clicking on Advanced >> Rule Assembly Cache Management, a message is shown:

System is not configured for this type of assembly

Error Messages

no error message.

Steps to Reproduce

Click on SMA >> Advanced >> Rule Assembly Cache Management

Root Cause

Starting with PRPC 7.1.x, the  Rule Assembly (RA) caching mechanism is no longer in use.
Instead, the Application based assembly (ABA) caching mechanism is used by default.
Therefore, when you click on the RA caching link, there are no rules to show.

Resolution

The cached rules are shown when SMA >> Advanced >> Application based assembly cache management is chosen.
