Suitable driver not found to connect to external DB2 database

Summary



Error occurs when connecting to DB2 from Designer Studio.

However, able to connect to DB2 from WebSphere and Oracle SQL Developer.

Connect to DB2 from Designer Studio.

Resolution



Perform the following local-change for any external database type:
  1. Add the prconfig/database/drivers/default Dynamic System Settings (DSS) value in com.ibm.db2.jcc.DB2Driver;.
  2. Navigate to Application > Distribution. Import the JDBC driver (such as db2jcc4.jar) or add the correct -classpath db2jcc4.jar.
  3. Restart the JVM(s).
