Tab Focus issue

Summary



On a button, configured action-set to have "Click" event and two actions: 1) create work and 2) Cancel. If there are any tabs opened next to the active case, and when user tries clicking this button from a case, tab focus does not remain on the newly created case using the action. This is happening in PRPC 6.3, Pega 7.1.6 and Pega 7.1.7

Error Messages

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Include a button in a section.
  2. On a button properties, configure action-set to have "Click" event and two actions: 1) create work and 2) Cancel.
  3. Create a sample case and make sure that you see the section with button.
  4. Before you click the button, open/create another case AND/OR open a landing page AND/OR open any wizard (objective is to have at least one tab open next to the case that have the button)
  5. Now go back to the tab that have our case displaying OUR button.
  6. Click on the button


Root Cause



The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ code/rules.

Resolution



This issue is resolved by hotfix item: HFix-21636.
