Tracer session error message displays despite closing the Tracer

Summary

The Tracer session error message displays despite closing the Tracer window while tracing the Service REST rule. The message indicates that another Requestor is also tracing. However, the other Requestor does not exist which is confirmed on verifying in the Admin Studio.


Error Messages

Tracer session error: This rule RULE-SERVICE-REST APPLICATION CRUD!CREATEAPPLICATIONCASE #20171109T124704.934 GMT is being traced by operator TestServiceUser from requestor HIDOKIAFRTYS8PRCL3O1UBN1XUXRDGV7NA - Please restart tracer


Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open a REST Service rule
  2. Click Actions
  3. Click Trace


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.
 

Resolution



This issue was reported as a bug to be remediated in  Pega 8.3.1 patch release.

Alternatively,
Perform the following local-change:
  1. Create an activity
  2. Add a Java step and add the below code to it:
    ((PegaAPI)tools).getSystemOperationsProvider().getListenerManagementAPI().terminateTraceForServiceInCluster("RULE-SERVICE-REST APPLICATION CRUD!CREATEAPPLICATIONCASE #20171109T124704.934 GMT");
     
  3. Execute the activity
