Unable to change a text input field from required to optional

Summary



Unable to change a text input field from required to an optional field. This occurs only in Create mode.


Error Messages



Please correct flagged fields before submitting the form
Value cannot be blank


Steps to Reproduce

  1. Log in to Pega Sales Force Automation (SFA). The Create Individual Lead has Last name as required
  2. Private Edit this section to set required to Never
  3. Refresh section and observe there is no indication Last Name in the UI is required
  4. Visit and leave the field. The value is still required


Root Cause



An issue in the custom application code or rules. Validation for OnAdd which ran in client.


Resolution

Perform the following local-change:

Remove property in the issue from the OnAdd validation.
