Unable to login after removing the PegaCPMFS:07.13 application
SA-90695
Summary
User application is built on PegaCPMFS:07.13 on Pega 7. The user upgrades Pega 7 to Pega 8.2.1. The user needs to remove the PegaCPMFS:07.13 application from the custom application as CPM framework is not required and the CPM framework functionality is not used in the custom application. Hence, the PegaCPMFS:07.13 application is removed and the PegaRules application is added on Pega 8.2.1. However, an exception occurs on logging into the Developer portal after making the change.
Error Messages
Caused by: com.pega.pegarules.pub.generator.RuleNotFoundException: Failed to find a 'RULE-OBJ-WHEN' with the name 'CPMISINTERACTIONPORTAL' that applies to 'Data-Portal-DesignerStudio'. 1 related to applies-to class 'Data-Portal-DesignerStudio', but were defined in rulesets which are not in your rulesetlist: 'PegaAppCA:07-13-01'.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create an application using PegaCPMFS as a bulit on application
- Replace PegaCPMFS with the PegaRules application post upgrading
Root Cause
The new application is created on top of the CPM framework and removed. This leads to an incorrect scenario where the application fails. When the new application is created on top of the CPM framework system by default, a few rules are auto created with the help of the Framework rules. An incorrect approach is used to create the application.
Resolution
Perform the following local-change:Create a new application on top of PegaRules.
