Unable to login to PRPC via load balancer

SA-2371

Summary

Users unable to log in to PRPC via a F5 load balanced URL. This is not SSO, normal PRPC login.

The login screen displays but after entering in User Name and Password and hitting Login the login screen just displays again.

Error Messages

No error messages on screen and no error messages in logfiles.

Steps to Reproduce

1) Access load balanced URL
2) Enter User Name and Password.
3) Hit Login

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is defect/misconfiguration in the F5 configuration for this environment.

They had enabled F5 caching for this regions load balanced configuration. This was causing the login screen to initially be returned from the F5 and NOT PRPC.  Since there was no requestor setup for the login screen the first login was the first request to PRPC and it would jsut return the login screen again.

Resolution

The F5 administrator disabled F5 caching for this regions load balanced configuration.  This immediatly
 resolved the problem.
