Unable to modify old CSFS 7.21 application instance

Summary



A Customer Service for Financial Service (CSFS) 7.21 application has the below stack:
  • KnowYourCustomer 7.22
  • Pega Service Case Manager for Financial 7.21
  • Pega Customer Service for Financial 7.21
  • Pega Customer Service 7.22


After upgrading to CSFS 7.22.1, user is unable to modify the old CSFS 7.21 application instance.
 
On modifying an application rule for one of the application builds on CSFS 7.21, the missing ruleset error occurs.
On referring to CSFS 7.22, the below error occurs:

Error validating RuleSet specification. The RuleSet name PegaSAFS_Branch_CSFS722ML1Branch is not defined.
 

Error Messages



The below message displays on saving an application instance built on CSFS 7.21:
Error validating RuleSet specification. The RuleSet name RemoveCircumstancing is not defined



Steps to Reproduce

  1. Install the CSFS 7.21 application
  2. Update to CSFS 7.22.1


Root Cause



An issue with Pega CSFS 7.22.1 release. The older version application rules for CSFS 7.21 and CSFS 7.22 shipped with CSFS 7.22.1 have the RemoveCircumstancing ruleset and CSFS722ML1Branch branch respectively. 

Resolution


   
Perform the following local-change:
  1. Unlock the CSFS 7.21 application shipped with CSFS 7.22.1 Product rules
  2. Remove the RemoveCircumstancing ruleset
  3. Save the application stack
