Unable to pass multibyte characters as parameters to createWork

SA-65629

Summary

When passing multibyte characters (for example, Japanese or Chinese) as parameters to the Create Work action of a button, the characters are encoded or decoded incorrectly and are incorrectly interpreted in the newly created Work.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Configure a button to create work. The flow must accept a parameter.
  2. Pass a multibyte character as the parameter.

Root Cause

Action string generation for Create New Work encodes the parameters. These parameters are encoded the second time by SafeURL. The parameters must be encoded only once.

Resolution

Apply HFix-47264.
