Unable to perform any action on the Operator menu

SA-44959

Summary

On opening the work object (using the work like sent as part of the email) user is not able to perform any action on the Operator menu like Logout/Switch Application.

However, when user clicked on close Option in Review Harness, it should navigate the user to Home screen dashboard.

But it is showing blank screen.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a work object.
2. Send the work object link to the assignee through a mail.
3. Use the Pega Out-of-the-box (OOTB) correspondence rule Work object link for that link.
4. Once the mail is received, click on the work object link which will navigate us to the work item.
5. Perform anything on Operator menu.

Root Cause

Purpose of work object link in correspondence is to show the work object in review harness.

This feature is never given for user to perform other actions. As this feature is using URL based approach, it is somehow allowing the user to go into perform harness (ideally it shouldn't even allow this).

From perform harness user is exposed to all those options of local actions, log off and so on which never works with such implementation. Hence, an enhancement request has been created to address the same.

Link should open the portal properly and search for the work object and open it automatically for the user.

Resolution

An enhancement request, FDBK-23091, has been created for consideration by Pega Product Management.
