Unable to refer parent page property with Primary Keyword

SA-25826

Summary

Developer has configued embedded pagelist for a class and trying to refer & compare the parent page property with child pagelist property from the repeating grid using Primary keyword.

Error Messages

Unable to access the parent pagelist property.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Configure a embedded pagelist for a class.
2. Create a repeating grid in the same class and try to configure the source for this repeating grid as the top pagelist.
3. Try to configure the row visibility with Primary keyword.

Root Cause

Primary keyword is not supported to refer the top level pages in PRPC.

Resolution

Use of Primary Keyword is not supported in PRPC.The primary page is a clipboard page with the same class as the activity (or selected other rules), designated when the activity is called.

Ideally, there are Keywords that are available to use in property references.

For example, the top or Parent keyword causes the system to look in the top-level page that includes the current page.

One can use the top or parent keyword at various levels of embedded pages to identify properties on the primary page.
