Unable to rename an abstract class - Wizard expects a hyphen.

Summary



From Pega 7 ...abstract classes will not have - (hyphen) at the end... rename class wizard is expecting - (hyphen). So not able to rename a class


Error Messages



•pyOldName:** Original Class Name format error no dash(-) found in Name.


Steps to Reproduce



Create a top level abstract class without any hyphens: for example ABC and rename it to something like XYZ.


Root Cause



The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ code/rules.



Resolution



This issue is planned to be resolved in Pega 7.1.8. For time being, below work around is suggested to be used  :
Go to Designer studio->System->Tools->Refactor rules->Search/Replace a String and rename the required class
