Steps to Reproduce
Save a Tracer file.
Root Cause
A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment.
Max heap size of 2 GB is run.
According to the Pega 7.4 Installation Guide, the standard suggested system heap size is 4 - 8 GB based on memory usage monitoring and garbage collection frequency. During Tracer run, the system was running low on memory:
INFO |PegaRULES-MasterAgent| |com.pega.pegarules.session.internal.async.Agent|System date: Total memory: 2,147,483,648 Free memory: 61,318,928 Requestor Count: 22 Shared Pages memory usage: 0% Current number of threads: 267|
Resolution
As a local-change, increase the max heap size.
