Summary

After installing Financial Services Industry Framework (FSIF), Know Your Customer (KYC) and Onboarding for Financial Services (OBFS), then while completing the verification steps mentioned in Installation guide, user receives error in UI.

Error Messages

For KYC:
Errors:
• There was an error processing the 'ApplyKYCTypes' step [Utility1]: com.pega.pegarules.pub.generator.RuleNotFoundException: Failed to find instance PegaKYC-Data-Type-Policies-Global.Global_TypeAppliesWhenMaster of type Rule-Declare-DecisionTable.
• Required parameter flowName

For OBFS:
its showing error
There has been a issue, please consult system administrator.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Followed the installation guide verification step for KYC and OBFS.
2. Could observe errors on screen.

Root Cause

Could see that developer has installed wrong version of KYC which is not supported for OBFS 7.21.

As per installation guide of OBFS, developer has to install KYC 7.14. But they installed KYC 7.21 because KYC 7.14 installation guide misleads that the pre-requisite is FSIS 7.16.

In the installation guide of KYC 7.1.4, it says FSIF 7.1.6 is the pre-requisite.
As developer has already installed FSIF 7.1.7(OBFS installation needs FSIF 7.1.7), user went with KYC 7.21 which says the pre-requisite is FSIF 7.1.7.

Developer is guided to install KYC 7.14 without KYC regulatory compliance.

After installing KYC 7.14, developer could not login with KYCFSSysAdmin which is Out-of-the-box (OOTB) login.

In OBFS installation guide, it is mentioned to have a hotfix as mandatory which is HFix-25930.

 

Resolution

Install KYC 7.14 without KYC regulatory compliance and apply HFix-25930.
