Upgrade issue on labels with non java-compliant text

SA-14849

Summary

When upgrading labels that have non-java-compliant text, after the upgrade, the section with the label reports an error that it is unable to compile.

Error Messages

Test compilation failed

Syntax error on token "something with quotation marks", invalid AssignmentOperator

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create label containing some quoted text.
2. Upgrade to Pega 7 platform.
3. The section which referred the label does not compile.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules during the control upgrade process causes labels in repeating layouts to not correctly escape special characters that must be escaped for java compliance.

Resolution

Apply HFix-23717 to address the issue that causes the control upgrade to not escape quotation marks.

Alternatively, modify the individual problem label to escape any quotation marks.
