USSD code in Arabic and Urdu SMS script is delivered incorrectly

Summary



The Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) code in Arabic and Urdu SMS scripts is delivered incorrectly on the Samsung handset. However, it's delivered in the correct format *107*3# on iPhone and Nokia handset.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Configure SMS service using Pega-NBAM 
  2. Include Arabic text with a USSD Code in the SMS content. Observe the USSD code format on the Samsung mobile
     

Root Cause



A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment. 

Resolution



Here’s the explanation for the reported behavior:
Samsung handset considers the USSD code as string and reverses it as it is included in the Arabic text.
