Validation messages not showing on readonly fields within a grid

A property-set-message is used to validate a read-only field that is placed within a grid. After a failed validation, the message does not  display in the grid row, and displays at the harness level Instead.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Validate using a property-set-message on a property in a grid row.
  2. Enable 'Show validation messages in read-only mode'.
  3. Fail the validation.

Root Cause

Error messages on a control are handled differently based on the placement of the control.

For example, if the control is placed outside the grid, the error messages are displayed below the control in the configuration. However, if the same control is placed inside the grid's cell, only an error icon displays on the grid cell.

The "Show validation messages in read-only mode" configuration is not supported within a grid context.
