Wait on Parent case does not work after reopening child cases

SA-80245

Summary

On reopening a child case, the parent case Wait does not work.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

Reopen the child case after it is resolved. Wait condition on parent case does not work.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.
The pzGetMessageKeysForFlowDependencies ListView rule fetched the complete case history (of the child case) to determine if the case dependency status was met with the status that was set to its Waiting parent case. Therefore, whenever a case was reopened, it was not considered a candidate for Wait. Instead, the parent case proceeded ahead because the child case had atleast one entry in History with that status.

Resolution

Apply HFix 53541.
