Worklist does not render in offline Mobile application

Summary



User upgraded from Pega 7.1.8 to Pega 7.2, and has built a offline mobile application.
When user launch the application on the device, after synchronization, the worklist section refreshes and sometimes after refresh the worklist information is not displayed.

This scenario also occurs, when user open an assignment from worklist and then clicks on the company logo in the header section to bring the worklist information.
This was not observed in Pega 7.1.8.


Error Messages



Not applicable.


Steps to Reproduce

  1. Launch the mobile application on the device.
  2. Wait for sync to complete.​Section refreshes.
  3. After refresh sometimes the worklist information is not displayed.


Root Cause



A backwards compatibility defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules: 

The behavior changed between Pega 7.1.8 and Pega 7.2. 

After investigating it was determined that in Pega 7.1.8 there was a bug related to “visible when” because of which this scenario was masked. As part of performance improvements that issue got fixed in Pega 7.2 which is now making this scenario visible. 

 

Resolution



Here’s the explanation for the reported behavior:

The current product behavior in Pega 7.2 is expected and is the correct one.
