X icon not replaced by text for Accessibility after upgrade

Summary



In the PRPC 6 platform, work object tabs replace the 'X' icon with the 'Close' text when Accessibility is enabled.





In Pega 7.1.8, this remains as an 'X'.

Steps to Reproduce


  1. Upgrade from PRPC 6 platform to Pega 7.1.8.
  2. Open the work object tag with Accessibility enabled.


Root Cause



This behavior is as per Pega product design.


Resolution



Here’s the explanation for the reported behavior: Pega 7 platform does not replace the 'X' icon with text. An accessible markup is now generated for this.
