Tell us a bit about your Pega journey - What was your motivation to pursue CLSA certification?
My journey started in 2005 where my first project was in PegaWORKS. I attended an internal PRPC bootcamp in 2008 and got so excited to learn Pega that I pestered everyone around my organization to install our first Pega POC instance in v5. A year later I became a CSA and I have worked my way up to CLSA status over the last decade.

Though I had a comprehensive knowledge of Pega frameworks and was able to freely design and guide large scale applications, I knew that I needed to become a CLSA in order to reach my professional goals. With the CLSA Accelerated Journey program, I didn’t want to miss the opportunity provided by Pega and I made it my goal to complete by the end of 2019.

What were the most significant obstacles that you faced on your path to become CLSA certified? How were you able to overcome those obstacles?
Personally I felt that the CLSA journey process was a test of both technical and mental strength. I spent my time going through the retired questions, went through all the CLSA exercises and personally did hands-on training for every topic that was given in the course. This gave me a lot of self-confidence and removed the notion that the exam would be too difficult for me to pass.

My advice to everyone about to prepare for the App Build is to be prepared by completing all your homework before attempting the exam. Eliminate as many distractions as possible and go from there.

What message or advice would you give to anyone who is considering a career as a Pega CLSA?
Pega is literally everywhere! Name any latest trends and technology, Pega has it. Your learning will never stop because Pega has loads of features and frameworks so you don’t have to spend as much time as other platforms to learn all the intricacies. You can jump right into building a strong enterprise solution.

So my advice to anyone pursuing a Pega CLSA is to go for it! You will never regret this decision because you have access to an excellent community of Pega peers who can help you and excellent pay.
