Addressing non-upgradable features and functions in your application
In order to migrate your Pega applications to Pega Cloud Services, software configuration changes may be required. For upgrading older versions of applications, legacy features and functionality may no longer be supported, or that functionality is now provided by using a different method or software feature.
Legacy functionality can present obstacles or security risks in a Pega Cloud environment. In those case, migration remediation – identifying and replacing the out-of-date features with secure, guardrail-compliant functionality – may be required.

Pega strongly recommends that you closely review your entire application setup before migration, and perform a gap analysis. Determining all the required upgrade and migrate changes allows you to make all changes in one phase, rather than going back multiple times and making incremental changes (which may then require other changes). Clients who follow this holistic, comprehensive approach experience the most efficient and cost-effective migrations.
