Pega Express Director Ralph Booth and Partner Tech Success Lead Di Knowles-Smith contributed to this post.
“Our partners are central to our business, our clients’ success, and our long-term growth goals,” said Carola Cazenave, our vice president of global partner ecosystems, when we launched our new Pega Partner Program at Pegaworld Inspire.
As part of welcoming our partners into the new Pega Partner Program and launching a new Partner Portal, we're encouraging all partners to develop and demonstrate capabilities in our Pega best practices, as described in our Pega Express™ delivery approach.
If you’re a partner, one way to do this is to complete the Pega Express Delivery mission on Pega Academy by the end of this year. All members of the Partner Program have been tasked with badging a healthy proportion of their Pega teams.
What can Pega Express do for you?
So, what is Pega Express, and why is it important to share these best practices with your team? Pega Express is a fusion of our best practices and product capabilities, designed to ensure our clients get the most out of their Pega investment.
To help our partners become experts in Pega Express, over the course of this year we held a series of partner enablement events. In March we held accelerated learning sessions alongside Pega Express Month and saw record numbers of partner resources earn badges. More recently we’ve been running fun, quiz-based events to help refresh and prepare partner resources who are about to take the Pega Express Delivery exam. It’s been great fun to see everyone compete to be the Pega Express champion within their teams!
If you’re a partner lead or a Pega professional working for a partner, how can you get your Pega Express badge?
A good starting point is the Pega Express community page. There you’ll find a high-level overview of the approach, including the four phases: Discover, Prepare, Build and Adopt. The page also has a lot of handy links to blogs, videos and the Pega Express Toolkit, (where you can find lots of useful templates to help you be successful in your projects).
You can easily find the mission itself on Pega Academy. You can complete it in bite-sized chunks whenever you have a spare moment. It’s logically broken down into modules and topics, so you can easily track your progress up until you take the exam. So, if you are a Pega practitioner working for a partner or if you are using Pega yourself, don’t delay. Take the plunge and get your Pega Academy badge now.
How to get involved
If you are a Pega lead and you’d like to host an event to generate badging momentum, why not reach out to the partner enablement team to see if they could join one of your team meetings? Perhaps they can share an overview of Pega Express or host one of our fun interactive sessions to help your team become Pega Express-ready this year.
To find out more, contact your partner delivery success manager or send an email to [email protected].
Another great place to learn more about Pega Express is at a Pega Community Event! Every month we have great speakers who talk about a range of techniques and skills, including those that are directly relevant to our approach. A good example from July 2021 is Joan Du Triou’s excellent presentation on the role a Pega business architect plays on a Pega Express project. You can listen to the recording of this and many others on demand on Collaboration Center.
Finally, look out for Pega Express Month early next year, a month-long celebration of all things Pega Express.
