Pega Express™ is, of course, our delivery approach. The beauty of our approach is its flexibility. Should you want to be guided through how to apply our best practices, you can follow our phased approach of Discover, Prepare, Build and Adopt. However, if you already have your own proven and trusted delivery approach, you can very quickly apply the Pega Express values and best practices to your own ways of working, to get the most out of your Pega investment.

The values encapsulate Pega Express, and by applying them and their associated best practices to your deliveries they will help you repeatedly deliver in an innovative, quick, and assured way. Let’s look at the six Pega Express values:

Solve the Business Problem: Helps you build your transformation roadmap and realize your outcomes. This value draws upon best practices, such as design thinking, to help identify the right solutions to best solve your business challenges and achieve your business outcomes. Visually capturing the scope of your project through the concept of Microjourneys and starting to create a roadmap of Minimum Lovable Product releases.

Design Great Experiences: Keeps the user’s experience at the heart of the solution. The supporting best practices include User Experience (UX/UI) and Solution Design, to ensure that you create a solution that maximizes reuse and provides a world-class experience for users and customers.

Collaborate effectively: Forms the Business and IT partnership throughout the organization to accelerate your delivery. This embodies best practices such as Directly Capture Objectives (DCO), and governance, which drives rich engagement and representation from different parts of the business to help not only deliver quickly in a transparent way but also ensure that the application considers feedback from real users.

Leverage the power of Pega: This is our passion and describes how to boost your implementation using Pega’s product capabilities. Underpinning this value are best practices ranging from our low code platform to our Diagnostic tools that help you assess the health of your application.

Agility and Scale: Establish a foundation for continuous and scalable agile delivery. Best practices such as Scrum or Pega DevOps, Test, and Guardrails, ensure that you can deliver with momentum, taking advantage of automation to build a platform of repeatability.

Accelerate time to value: This is our foundational value that underpins the first five Pega Express Values and captures the best practices that enable you to go live quickly, generate value, and improve and iterate on your application.
