By using or submitting listings via the Pega Marketplace, you agree to our Terms of Use.

Overview

Simul8r is the new, low code approach to simulating your integrations.

It’s provided as a component which can be added to Pega versions 8.3 and above. The component introduces a new “Simulation” rule type, available from the “Integration-Simulation” rule category. This now rule types gives you a simple UI for capturing all the API responses you would like to simulate.

At runtime, rule resolution is automatically used to check if a simulation exists for a connector being called. If found, intelligent matching is performed against the request information to select the most appropriate response.

What’s more, all the information captured in your simulation rules can easily be shared with other tools and frameworks to support more advanced integration testing patterns:

•    Simulations can be run via APIs using tools like Postman or SoapUI
•    Contracts can be generated into the Pact specification
•    Responses can be exported into WireMock mapping definitions

Key Features

  • Simulates your APIs without the need for 3rd party tools
  • Allows you to quickly toggle simulations on/off from App Studio
  • Records all history to track what responses your simulations gave
  • Acts as a mock server to use your simulations outside of Pega via REST APIs
  • Generates contracts to support consumer driven contract testing
  • Exports responses in to formats for other provides (e.g WireMock)
  • … and so much more
