Summary

Some existing report definitions have stopped working. No results are returned, and a null pointer error appears in the log file:
Revalidate and Save does not fix the problem. However, recreating the report with a new name and saving it works.

Error Messages

An error occured during resolving the report definition - null
java.lang.NullPointerException

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a report definition with a summary function on one of the columns
2. Edit the report, and remove the summary function from the column
3. Save and run the report

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules: pyGroupOrder property is not properly set for pyUIFields if the report has changed from Summary to List report.
