Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.

Resolution

Perform the following local-change:
  1. Make the Pega-RULES • indexing/hostid Dynamic System Settings (DSS) and Pega-RULES • indexing/hostname value to empty.
  2. Retain the Pega-RULES • indexing/explicitindexdir DSS as is or delete it and add in the JVM arguments.
  3. Stop the server.
  4. Use the -Dindex.directory JVM argument to add the Index directory (ensure that the index directory is empty/Deleted).
  5. Create a backup and truncate the PR_SYS_STATUSNODES table.
  6. Start the server. Verify the pyindexdirectory column in the PR_SYS_STATUSNODES table. It must be the index directory which is defined in the JVM arguments.
  7. Re-index the rule and data.
