Creating screenshot only captures header, not body

SA-33587

Summary

Creating screenshot only captures header, not body. Testing the screenshot functionality for WIN10, only the header is captured and not the body.

Error Messages

Not applicable.

Steps to Reproduce

Under Attachments
  1. Select New
  2. Attach a Screen Shot
  3. Select screen to capture and Submit

Root Cause

ActiveX is a legacy technology with significant security vulnerabilities that is no longer supported by Microsoft. This issue is a limitation set by Microsoft and they did not provide any substitutes for VisualBasic-6 built-in functions after 2009. However, this scenario occurs on Windows-10 + IE-11 combination. Since 2015, this environment has been active so there is no appropriate fix for this existing built-in old dlls.

Resolution

  1. First use Windows-10 Snipping Tool to capture the IE-11 screen.
  2. Use PRPC screen capture control to capture the snipping tool screen. Update the note description.
  3. Observe the captured, actual IE-11 screen shot.
