Perform harness scrolls to middle of screen when launched
SA-7813
Summary
User has configured OOTB 'Perform' harness to display large number of sections. Few of the scetions have repeat grids.
When the harness is launched while processing a work object, it was observed that vertical scroll has moved to middle of the harness. User has to scroll back to top to see the contents shown at the top of harness.
Error Messages
No error message.
Steps to Reproduce
a) Modify OOTB 'Perform' harness to include large number of sections.
b) Create a work object that uses the harness created in first step.
Root Cause
When the harness was launched, a cell of a repeat grid was focused by default. The repeat grid was shown in the middle of harness. This caused the vertical scroll to move at the middle.
When the configuration of grid was checked, it was found that 'pxLink' control was used in the repeat grid cell. Icons / links are usually the first element to gain focus when page is rendered.
Another 'pxLink' control was used in one of the cells at last column of first layout in the harness. To hide the control from rendering, added 'visibility:hidden' inline CSS style at the column level. This resolved the issue.
Later it was found that user had 'pega_ui_doc' js file in private edit mode. The code specified in file was latest for PRPC 6.2 SP2 version. If that specific code was removed, the issue appeared again.
Resolution
The issue was resolved by using the work around mentioned above as well as using latest code of pega_ui_doc JS file.
The latest code of pega_iu_doc was provided through HFix-20910.
