Accessibility: Close icon is not read by JAWS in modal window

Summary



Accessibility: While contents in a modal window are read by JAWS, it reads unlabeled instead of stating close.

Steps to Reproduce



1. Launch a modal dialog.
2. Use JAWS to read the content of the modal dialog.

Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules. Title attribute is not set to Close button in modal dialog.

Resolution



Perform the following local-change:

1. Add the code snippet given below in Userworkform HTML fragment.

function addTitleForModalDialogClose()
{
    setTimeout(function(){$("#container_close").attr("title","Close Modal");},2000);
}

2. Call function addTitleForModalDialogClose() before launching modal dialog as shown in screen shot below.
