Agents do not run after a database interruption occurs

Summary



Agents do not run after a database interruption occurs. This occurs intermittently. Attempts to stop or restart an affected agent results in an error.


Error Messages



Exception during engine invocation: com.pega.pegarules.management.internal.AgentManagementAPI.Stop
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/pega/pegarules/session/internal/async/AgentQueue$AgentNotification
at com.pega.pegarules.session.internal.async.AgentQueue.notifyAgentTermination(AgentQueue.java:1272)


Steps to Reproduce



After a database interruption, attempt to stop or restart an affected agent.


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.


Resolution

Apply HFix-45055.
