Assignments of Flow type pzInternalCaseFlow are created

SA-55460

Summary

Invoking the pzInternalCaseFlow flow for a Case wide flow action, creates assignments which have negative pxAssignmentElapsedTime values. The assignments are created in the flow in the Assign-Internal class.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

Launch a local action after submitting all the assignments. Negative value displays for pxAssignmentElapsedTime in the database.

Root Cause

This behavior is as per Pega product design.

Resolution

Here’s the explanation for the reported behavior:

When all assignments are completed and the local action is launched by clicking the Actions button in the Review harness, the local action is opened using the out-of-the-box internal pzInternalCaseFlow flow. This is because a real flow or assignment does not exist. Since pxAssignDatetime value is empty, the AddWorkHistory in pxAssignmentElapedTime is set to a negavtive value as Lib(Pega-RULES:DateTime).DateTimeDifference(primary.pxAssignDateTime,"","s") returns a negative value when the first parameter is empty.
