Blank rows display in decision table on exporting it in Excel

SA-67391

Summary

Blank rows display in a decision table when exporting the table to Excel. Additionally, the process deletes some rows and imports the updated file. An extra column displays after the import.

Error Messages

Not Applicable.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a decision table with a large number of rows. For example, more than 500 rows
  2. Export the table to Excel and delete some of the rows
  3. Import the updated file and check the Decision Table rule form

Root Cause

The 'Allowed to return values' option was not checked on the Decision Table rule. For decision tables, the number of rows is determined by the count of pyResults, which is the return values. While importing, this option was not enabled so the old captured values were used to calculate the row count.

Resolution

Perfom the following local-change:

The empty rows issue is resolved by Check the
'Allowed to return values' option to resolve the empty rows issue.

Update to Pega 7.4 to resolve t
he issue with the extra blank column.
