Claims Workstation installation fails

SA-19239

Summary

While completing a new installation of the Pega software, which includes the Healthcare Industry Foundation (HCIF) component and the Claims Work Station (CWS) component, the final steps of verifying the application calls for logging in as the designated user, selecting demo claims and performing the test scenario. Upon clicking the Run button the browser clocks and an error is exhibited in a popup window. After closing the popup window, the browser continues to clock and an exception is exhibited in the log file.

The following software has been installed:

  • Pega 7.1.8
  • HCIF 7.13
  • Claims Work Station 7.11

Error Messages

The exception in the log is:

Failed to find a 'RULE-OBJ-ACTIVITY' with the name 'COMMITSAVEORDELETES' that applies to 'PegaHC-Data-BatchStatistics'. There were two rules with this name in the rulebase, but none matched this request.

Steps to Reproduce

Follow the Testing the Installation section of the CWS Installation Guide.

Root Cause

After performing a comparison of the setups in the different environments, it was observed that the application setup in the working environment utilizes a "Built on application" of PegaHC 07.13. In the non-working environment this is set to PegaHC 07.12.

Resolution

Perform the following local-change:

Update the CWS "Built on application" to utilize PegaHC 07.13.
