Closing Modal Popup, Not refreshing the parent view.

Summary
Launch a modal pop-up, from a action button present on a screen (say Parent screen). On trying to close the Pop-Up by OOTB top right most 'X' symbol. its closing the pop-up but not refreshing the parent screen.
Resolution
Add another action, which refreshes the parent section, as a part of the button which launches the modal dialog.
