Co-browse support code not displayed with IE 11

Summary



The Co-Browse code content does not appear on clicking the Co-Browse Support tab. This occurs when using the Internet Explorer 11 browser.


Error Messages



From the debugger:

customer.js SCRIPT:5007 Unable to get property 'split' of unidentified or null reference


Steps to Reproduce

  1. Navigate to the Co-Browse page.
  2. Click the Support tab.


Root Cause



A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment. The Co-Browse application was not able to read the default language in the Internet Explorer 11 browser.


Resolution



Perform the following local-change: Set the default language at fireflyAPI tag level. Add the below code in the fireflyAPI tag.

fireflyAPI.language = 'en-US';
