Connection Problem Flow is not getting invoked

SA-22708

Summary

User is using a Data page with a Connect SOAP rule for the Data Source.

When the Connect SOAP encounters an error, the Connect SOAP Error Handler Flow is not being invoked. The Error Flow is bypassed for all SOAP Connector errors.

Error Messages

Not Applicable.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a Data Page.
  2. Give its source as Connector and type as SOAP.
  3. Invoke connector using data transform and let the service fail.
  4. Connection problem flow does not get invoked.

Root Cause

In current case this is expected behavior only, because connector error flow is designed to work only when connector is executed in flow using integrator shape.

It will not be executed when Data page is used for connector execution.

But user is expecting it should be work with data page as well. So this issue was determined to be a product enhancement request.

Resolution

An enhancement request FDBK-15170, has been created for consideration by Pega Product Management.
