Declarative rule exception when we open activity ruleform

Summary



When performing a manual (file-based) data transmission to an external system, we're seeing a declarative rule exception.

We're attempting to run the activity manually, but when we open the activity ruleform we get an exception.


Error Messages



Exception
com.pega.pegarules.pub.infengine.IndeterminateGoalException: ChainingIndeterminateGoal    TempOpenPage    TempOpenPage.pySteps(1).pyStepsActivityNameUC    no declarative rules found to compute goal
    at com.pega.pegarules.exec.internal.declare.infengine.InferenceEngineImpl.seekGoalValue(InferenceEngineImpl.java:527)


Steps to Reproduce



Open ruleform for activity - cannot open ruleform

Root Cause



The root cause of this problem is defect/misconfiguration in the operating environment. The pr_sys_decchg table was truncated and when nodes were restated, the issue occurred.

Resolution



This issue is resolved through the following local change: Repopulate via Revalidate-For-References
