Display area of the screen is reduced when errors are flagged

SA-73326

Summary

When errors are flagged on the screen, the display area of the screen reduces and requires scrolling. The information displays in one half of the screen, while the rest of the screen is blank.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Add a checkbox onclick to configure a refresh-section.
  2. Create a repeat grid where one column has a Required condition. When the column value is null and the checkbox is selected, the visible area is reduced.

Root Cause

The issue occurs due to iFrames. That is,  when an error message displays, the frame height reduces. Pega 7 platform does not support iFrames.

Resolution

Perform the following local-change:
  1. Create a new stylesheet.
  2. Include the stylesheet in Styles tab in the Skin.
  3. Refer the below logic in the stylesheet,

    div[node_name="<harnessname>"] .harnessContent{height:100% !important;}
