Dispute work object is not created after upgrade



After upgrading from PRPC 6.1 SP2 to Pega 7.2, dispute work objects are not created when clicking the Create Dispute Case button.

Error Messages

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Execute the card number and transaction search.
  2. Select the dispute transaction and click on the 'Create Dispute Case' button.

Root Cause

An issue in the custom application code or rules. In PRPC 6.1 SP2, a classless pyWorkCover page was generated during the transaction search. In Pega 7, the pyWorkCover page is no longer generated as classless so the Close activity is being executed by NewCovered. As a result, a custom activity is being run that clears the transaction page.


Perform the following local change: move the @PageExistsWithClass check from the precondition to a transition step so pyWorkCover is not created.
